A Hampshire farm shop is set to host its third annual food festival this July.

Westlands Farm Shop, located in the heart of the Meon Valley, is looking forward to showcasing some of the best food Hampshire has to offer.

The festival will feature a variety of local independent producers, offering visitors the opportunity to sample and learn about their products.

Alongside that, Westlands Farm Shop will be hosting a barbecue, using meat from their own farm and cooked by their award-winning team of butchers.

"This year promises to be a stand out event," with activities such as heavy horse carriage rides and fun for the whole family.

Businesses from around the area including Bere Dairy, Homemade Brownie Company and Wessex Historic Tractor & Implement Club, will be in attendance at the farm in Shedfield.

The event is free to attend and will run from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, July 6.

Westlands Farm Shop is known for supporting local producers and small supply chains, with more than 50 per cent of their stock produced within a 40-mile radius.

The farm shop described the event as a "community focused" affair and "a fun, free day out to celebrate the start of summer."
