ONE person had to be rescued from their car after a Mercedes crashed into a tree near the city centre.
On Thursday, June 20, several emergency vehicles drove along Upper Brook Street with their lights and sirens on.
It has now been confirmed that a car had rolled onto its side in a crash near the hospital.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called to St James Lane at 4pm.

The crash involved one vehicle which had rolled onto its side. Firefighters righted the vehicle and rescued a person who was then handed to the paramedics.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Crews from Winchester and Eastleigh attended an RTC in St James Lane involving one vehicle at 4pm this afternoon.
"The vehicle had rolled on its side, crews righted the vehicle and assisted one person to exit the vehicle who was then passed into the care of the ambulance service."
Hampshire Police said: "We were called at 3.46pm with reports of a collision on St James Lane, Winchester.
"It was reported that a Mercedes had collided with a tree and rolled onto its side.
"No injuries have been reported at this time."
South Central Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
