An entire block of shops in Winchester city centre was evacuated after a fire alarm went off in McDonald's.
A fire engine was at the scene within minutes and asked staff and customers to exit shops on the High Street and St George's Street.
The shops included McDonald's, Naomi House, Betfred, The Body Shop and Costa Coffee.

People stood bemused as the fire crew checked the two-floor building. It is not known why the fire alarm went off.
After around 10 minutes they were given the all-clear and business went back to normal.
The Chronicle has approached Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service for more details.
