THE Romsey Town Carnival committee is calling for sponsors to help fund this year's events.
The carnival holds events throughout the year, culminating in the summer procession and mayor's picnic in July.
This year the theme is books. Romsey Carnival chairman John Ray said: “We encourage participants to get creative and bring their favourite books to life through costumes and floats. Whether you’re inspired by classic tales or contemporary stories, everyone is welcome to join this joyous parade.
“We also invite the community to consider sponsoring or donating to these events. Your generous support is crucial to ensuring the continued success of the Romsey Summer Carnival and in aiding local charities that provide invaluable support to those in need.

The bed race and children's fun run will be in the Market Place on July 5. The summer carnival precession itself will be on July 6, starting at the Greatbridge Industrial Estate.
