NINE candidates will contest the General Election in Winchester and six in Romsey and Southampton North on Thursday July 4.
At the close of nominations on June 7, 15 candidates had been nominated
In Winchester the candidates in alphabetical order, are:
Chris Barfoot, Independent;
Liberal Democrat, Danny Chambers;
Independent, Kevin D'Cruze;
Social Democratic Party, Andrew Davis;
Labour, Hannah Dawson;
Conservative, Flick Drummond;
Green, Lorraine Estelle;
Hampshire Independents, Andy Liming;
Reform UK, Sean Whelan.
In the then-Winchester and Chandler's Ford constituency the Conservative Steve Brine beat the Lib Dems into second place with a majority of 985, and 9,999 in 2017. Mr Brine has stood to be replaced as Tory candidate by Flick Drummond, the MP for the now disbanded Meon Valley constituency.
In Romsey and Southampton North Caroline Nokes had a majority of 10,872 in 2019, down from 18,006 in the snap election in 2017.
The candidates, in alphabetical order, are:

Liberal Democrat, Geoff Cooper;
Labour, Christie Lambert;
Conservative, Caroline Nokes;
Green, Connor Shaw;
Independent, Fennie Yap.
The deadline for applying to register for voting in this election is Tuesday June 18.
