A WINCHESTER man has been ordered to pay compensation after stealing alcohol from a shop.
Anthony Johannessen, 32, of Trussell Crescent, Weeke, stole six bottles of Henry Weston Cider from Tesco on Monday, May 27, a court heard.
Appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, May 28 Johannessen pleaded guilty to theft from a shop.
He must pay £16.50 compensation, as well as a £114 victim surcharge and costs of £40. The total amount of £170.50 must be paid in full by June 25.
Johannessen must also complete a drug rehabilitation requirement by November 27, 2025, and attend appointments as required by a responsible officer up to a maximum of 15 days.
