Hundreds of disadvantaged children in Hampshire are due to enjoy a fun day at Longleat Park on June 12, as part of National Rotary KidsOut Day.

The event offers more than 26,000 youngsters a care-free day out and is the biggest of its type in the UK.

KidsOut, annually takes in excess of 57,000 disadvantaged children to various activities including cinema, theatre, ten-pin bowling, and zoos.

KidsOut also provides new toys for children as they arrive at the refuge, Christmas gifts, and operates the "Giving Tree, Fun & Happiness Shop", allowing gifts or a fun day to be purchased for the disadvantaged children year-round.

CEO of KidsOut Sara Williams said: “This event is a mammoth undertaking but so worth it so see the children happy. We receive hundreds of moving messages of thanks each year from parents and carers to say that without the charity’s and Rotary’s help they would never have been able to take the children on a day trip like this. We are hugely grateful for our partnership with Rotary and the support of their volunteers to help make this amazing event happen.”
