At last we have a chance to vote for change!

On July 4 we can vote to save A&E in Winchester and keep a full maternity service. We can vote to cut NHS waiting lists and fund more GPs.

We can vote to tackle the costs of living, clean up our environment and fight climate change. But if we want any of these changes, and more, we may need to think about voting tactically.

Voting tactically is a way of making sure every vote counts in our first-past-the-post system. It means ‘lending’ our votes to candidates who may not be our first choice, but have a good chance of winning.

Knowing how to vote tactically can be tricky in some places. But in Winchester and Eastleigh the evidence is clear. The Liberal Democrats are the only party that can defeat Rishi Sunak’s Conservatives here. We have two excellent Lib Dem candidates, Danny Chambers and Liz Jarvis, who are committed to the changes we so desperately need.

Here in Winchester and Eastleigh, a vote for anyone other than Danny or Liz, is a vote for more Conservative chaos. So, time to vote tactically!
