A CAR wash has submitted plans to open on part of a Winchester DIY store's car park.
Orlando Zela, director of Posh Wash Ltd, wants to have two parasols, a store and an office as part of a car wash at Homebase, in Easton Lane, Winnall.
The car wash company estimates that four cars per hour could be accommodated.
The planning statement added that the proposals require minor changes to the car parking layout as well as two demountable drying parasols, a small office and storage buildings.

It said: “The proposals will provide a high quality discreet complimentary use which will be of benefit to the principal retail unit use and its wider customer offer. The use will be well designed and sensitively sited, and will not impact on the existing car parking in terms of its functioning or ability to meet demand. In addition, the proposals will not materially add to traffic using the site and the principal demand will be for customers of the garden centre.”
By Thursday, May 30, no public comments in support or objection had been submitted.
