Construction firm, Beard, has secured a top award for a second consecutive year in recognition of its safety record.

The RoSPA President's Award, accompanied by Beard’s 11 consecutive gold awards for health and safety, recognises the company’s commitment to their staff.

Beard, a family-run company with more than 130-years of experience, also operates from offices in Swindon, Bristol, Oxford, a newly opened location in Colden Common.

Jamie Harwood, company health and safety director, said: "Our fantastic award win demonstrates our continuing deep-rooted commitment to ensuring all staff and stakeholders get home safe every day.

"The safety of all those that work for us or interact with us is paramount. While a significant reduction in slips, trips and falls and our overall accident rate in 2024 is more than enough reward for us, we’re delighted to receive the President’s Award from RoSPA for the second year running."

The grand RoSPA Awards, currently in their 68th year, include 2,000 annual entries from over 50 countries, impacting over seven million employees.

The competition is open to the extensive range of 32 industry sectors.
