A YOUNG dance troupe with members from Hampshire are celebrating talent show success after receiving Bruno Tonioli's golden buzzer in Britain's Got Talent.

Dance company Phoenix Boys were sent straight through to the semi-final after former Strictly Come Dancing judge, Bruno Tonioli, hit his golden buzzer so hard, he smashed it.

The group, which includes members from across the UK, including two boys from Overton and Whitchurch, were jumping for joy after the dance legend sent them into the semis after their successful audition impressed him.

Tonioli said how the group reminded him of being a young male dancer.

Group members Bodhi and Reuben both train at Marina School of Dance in Overton and Whitchurch and said they cannot wait to go live in front of the nation in a few weeks time with their friends.

They said: "We love dancing with The Phoenix Boys. It's always fun and great to have the opportunity to dance with so many other boys."

The group enjoyed a standing ovation from the whole auditorium at the London Palladium.

Phoenix Boys is a nationwide dance associate programme which currently runs in London, Manchester and Birmingham, and provides supplementary training to budding male dancers with no audition to be involved.

The ethos of the company is to provide a nurturing environment for dancing boys to thrive, whether it's for a hobby or a career on stage or screen.
