NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 14 of Winchester’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

A total of 13 have been awarded the maximum of five out of five. 

The other one is not far behind, with a four out of five rating.

The following ratings have been given to 11 restaurants, cafes or canteens:

  • Rated five: Wagamamas at 30 - 31 Jewry Street, Winchester; rated on May 15
  • Rated five: Bar Lento at Wykeham House, 11a Southgate Street, Winchester; rated on May 13
  • Rated five: Moto Hospitality Ltd - Greggs (Southbound) at Moto Hospitality Ltd, Winchester Services Southbound, Shroner Wood; rated on May 9
  • Rated five: Christ Church Lunch Club at Christ Church, Christchurch Road, Winchester; rated on May 7
  • Rated five: Costa NB at Sutton Scotney Services Northbound, A34, Sutton Scotney,; rated on May 7
  • Rated five: Costa SB at Sutton Scotney Services Southbound, A34, Sutton Scotney; rated on May 7
