Houghton Lodge Gardens plans to host a Regency-themed event, "Bridgerton Bliss," on June 9.
This homage to the popular Bridgerton series, following the success of a similar event last year, provides an opportunity for guests to immerse themselves in the era's charms.
Guests will have fun activities to participate in, such as dance demos and classes by the Hampshire Regency Dancers.
The Bossard Quartet will provide music, performing modern pop hits with a Bridgerton twist, as visitors explore the picturesque period-inspired gardens.
An array of dining options will be available, including afternoon tea and picnic hampers full of Hampshire-produced treats from The Glass House tea room.
For the more adventurous, there's also a selection of Regency-themed cakes and Bridgerton-inspired drinks. For horticultural enthusiasts, the event features a garden trail, focusing on plants from the Regency period. Historical lawn games offer a touch of fun and friendly competition.
In addition, a workshop will be available for those interested in creating their own floral corsages. While dressing up in Regency fashion isn't compulsory, it's encouraged to enhance the immersive experience.
Houghton Lodge, a Grade II* listed 'Cottage Orné', offers a stunning backdrop for this event.
Boasting mature trees and lawns extending to the renowned River Test, it's considered one of Hampshire's most beautiful private gardens.
The event takes place from 12pm to 5pm at Houghton Lodge Gardens, North Houghton, Stockbridge, SO20 6LQ.
