VISITORS to Hampshire's Paultons Park now have another reason to spend more time in its dinosaur-themed world, Lost Kingdom.
The theme park, in Ower, is probably best known for its connection to Peppa Pig, however the family-run attraction boasts a whole host of fun for dinosaur fanatics too.
Last week, it unveiled its latest addition, a family-friendly water boat ride called Splash Kingdom.
The log-flume type ride takes young explorers on a Jurassic adventure, with meandering rapids and an exciting - but not too scary - drop into a prehistoric lagoon below.
James Mancey, deputy managing director at Paultons Park, said: “Splash Lagoon is already proving to be a big hit. The addition of a family flume complements the Lost Kingdom experience perfectly and means there are now six rides for guests to enjoy in our dinosaur themed land.
"Splash Lagoon is ideal for younger thrill-seekers, while Flight of the Pterosaur and the Velociraptor offer older children and parents an exhilarating ride.”
Children aged over six and more than 60cm tall can ride in a boat alone, with younger children needing to be accompanied by an adult.
Each boat can hold either three children or one adult and one child.

Lost Kingdom is one of five worlds at the park, and it catapults families back to a long-forgotten era, using sound, planting, live shows, curated spaces, and colour to create a captivating prehistoric landscape.
As well as Splash Lagoon, there are soaring rollercoasters, a dinosaur safari, a junior rollercoaster and live meet the dinosaur events, and much more.
James added: “The detailing and theming of Splash Lagoon has created a highly immersive family adventure.
"Everything we do at Paultons Park is centred around offering exceptional quality and value for money for families. We can’t wait to welcome more guests to experience Splash Lagoon this summer.”
Paultons Park prides itself on being a destination for all the family and boasts almost 80 rides.
In 2023, Paultons Park was named the UK’s best value theme park by The Sun. The accolade was based on independent research which considered entry ticket price, queue times, parking fees, and number of attractions.
Paultons Park boasts free parking, free entry for children under one metre, and some of the lowest ride queue times in the UK, meaning the destination came out on top as offering the best value for money compared to all other UK attractions.
