Drivers in and around Winchester will have 18 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Two of them are expected to cause moderate delays, with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M3, from 8pm May 9 to 6am May 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 11, carriageway closure between the slips roads for resurfacing work.

• M3, from 8pm May 16 to 6am June 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 8 to junction 9, Lane closures for barrier work.

• M3, from 8pm May 2 to 6am June 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 7 to junction 9, Lane closures for barrier work.

• A303, from 8pm April 8 to 6am July 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 both directions M3, junction 9 to Three Maids Hill, carriageway closures for resurfacing work.

And a further 14 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M3, from 8pm May 20 to 6am May 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 8 to junction 9, Lane closures for survey works.

• M3, from 8pm May 20 to 6am May 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 9 to junction 12, Lane closures for concrete barrier scheme.

• M3, from 9pm May 20 to 6am May 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 9, slip road closure for concrete barrier scheme.

• M3, from 8pm May 21 to 6am May 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 8 to junction 9, Lane closure for drainage works.

• A303, from 8pm May 21 to 5am May 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Barton Stacey to Bullington, Lane closure for electrical works.

• M3, from 9pm May 21 to 6am May 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 11, slip road closure for concrete barrier scheme.

• M3, from 9pm May 21 to 6am May 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 10, slip road closure for concrete barrier scheme.

• M3, from 9pm May 22 to 6am May 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 11, slip road closure for concrete barrier scheme.

• A303, from 8pm May 29 to 6am May 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Longparish, slip road and lane closures for signage repairs.

• M27, from 8pm May 29 to 6am May 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 eastbound, junction 8 to junction 10, Lane closures for maintenance works.

• M3, from 9pm May 31 to 6am June 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 12, slip road closures for concrete barrier scheme.

• A303, from 8pm June 3 to 6am June 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 7 to junction 9, carriageway closure for resurfacing work.

• M3, from 8pm June 3 to 6am June 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 11 to junction 9, Lane closures for concrete barrier scheme.

• M27, from 8pm June 3 to 6am June 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 both directions, junction 9, Lane closures for structures inspections.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in its schedule.
