A COMMUNITY café that operates from the village hall has marked its second successful year in operation.
Somborne Café operates out of the Jubilee Room in King Somborne Village Hall every Tuesday morning from 10am until 1pm.
Staffed entirely by volunteers, the café offers a range of high quality cakes and cheese scones produced by local Winterslow bakery Fi’s Amazing Brownies.
Sausage rolls continue to be firm favourites.

The range of coffees and teas are again sourced locally from Coffee Bean company in Ower.
The café aims to provide a social hub where groups and individuals can meet and socialise while enjoying excellent refreshments as well as each other’s company.
It is a ‘not for profit’ organisation run by the community for the community and prices are kept well below the high street equivalents.
Alastair Dodds, who founded the café with wife Sarah, said the café has proved a firm favourite with both locals and visiting groups of cyclists and walkers.
He said: "The success of this venture is entirely due to the commitment and welcoming atmosphere produced by our wonderful group of volunteers."
