A HAMPSHIRE charity is hosting a classic car rally this May, to raise funds for a Hampshire Hospital.
Hampshire Medical Fund raises funds to buy cutting-edge medical equipment outside of NHS budgets for hospitals in Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover.
The charity was founded by the Earl of Carnarvon in 1981 and held its first Classic Car Rally in 2017.

With the burden of funding on the NHS ever increasing, the Hampshire Medical Fund’s work is increasingly necessary to help enable Hampshire Hospitals to provide the best possible care for patients.
Further to the 2023 Car Rally held at Highclere Castle, which funded Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) equipment for the Speech and Language Therapy Department at Basingstoke, the charity is now looking to fund a further £26,700 for a second FEES, to aid the Stroke Department at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester.
The equipment will be given to the speech and language departments in the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, in Winchester, enabling therapists to assess swallowing difficulties in patients such as those who have suffered from a stroke.

To raise funds, Hampshire Medical Fund will again be holding a classic car rally on Sunday, May 19 at Malshanger House starting at 8.45am.
