A HAMPSHIRE woman said that she has not given up hope her dog will return home, almost two months after he went missing.
Sabrina West, 45, of Gosport, said that her eight-year-old spaniel Spencer went missing on March 10 from The Malms in Shawford while he was staying with her parents.
She is offering a £2,000 reward for information that leads to his return.
Spencer was seen in the Valley Park area approximately six weeks ago – however, the beloved dog is still to be located, with Ms West saying there have not been any sightings since.
She told the Chronicle: “I find it quite hard to talk about it.

“I have had Spencer since he was 10 weeks old, and it has always been me and him. He was eight last month, on April 19, so I’ve had him for eight years.
“We’re a bit of a double act really, it’s always been me and him. About four or five years ago I got another dog from a rescue, a cocker spaniel, so Spencer would have some company while I’m at work so it has been the three of us the last few years.
“He is really big for a spaniel, he’s not a hectic, skinny spaniel, he is quite big and keeps his nose down and is a bit of a plodder, chasing things out. With him not being in the house you really notice it as he’s got no special awareness – he’s always there and a bit of a lump. He’s always really affectionate like he’ll always have his chin on your knee, he’s always up for a cuddle.”
She continued: “I haven’t given up on him, I don’t think I’ll ever give up. It’s just really difficult not knowing and the no sightings.
“He is missing in the middle of the South Downs National Park, he’s not missing in a town or something, so there’s a lot of space for him to roam.

“It is bizarre, as he never really goes anywhere. He is so trusted within the family, he never runs off, he never goes anywhere. For him to just disappear and not come back, I can’t understand it.”
She wanted to thank the people who have helped put up posters across the Winchester area informing others that Spencer is missing, saying: “Just a massive thank you. Off the back of the Facebook page I’ve had so many volunteers, and so many people coming forwards willing to help.
“They’ve been amazing – hundreds of posters have been put out by people giving up their free time, it’s been fantastic.”
Anyone with information regarding Spencer’s whereabouts is asked to contact Ms West on 07826 866771.
