The Alton-based care home, The Lawn, is preparing for its second community Dog Show, the 'Scruffies', on June 29, at 2pm.
For the 2024 contest at London Road Holybourne, top three winners in each of the ten categories will take home handmade rosettes. The Lawn residents will also provide doggie bags for all competitors.
Emma Cranstone, activities coordinator, said: "Our 2023 event was such as success that we really had to host it again. Last year, our residents had a ‘paw-fect’ day enjoying the inaugural Dog Show and everyone was so keen, and loved it so much, that they insisted that we hosted the event again this year.
"This year, we have 11 award categories, and have slightly changed a few of them to open up the competition.
"Our categories now include Best Junior Handler, the Sausage Eating Race - and a rather cheeky Most Like Their Owner award."
Alina Gutu, registered manager, said: "All the money we raise from the 2024 Scruffies will go into the Resident’s Activity Fund."
There's a £1 entry fee per dog, per category as well as afternoon teas at £5 each person, and assorted beverages for sale.
