The chairman of the Conservative party visited Winchester ahead of May's local elections.
Richard Holden MP visited Winchester on Friday, April 26 ahead of local elections, meeting Flick Drummond MP during his visit.
The Cabinet Minister joined the Conservative Parliamentary candidate for Winchester to deliver a residents survey following 'dissatisfaction locally' with the Liberal Democrat-led Winchester Council’s increase in parking charges.

Local Conservatives have made reversing the increases a key part of its election offer to residents in Winchester ahead of residents going to the polls on Thursday.
The chairman also spoke in support of Flick’s own candidacy in the general election and for Donna Jones’ re-election bid as Hampshire Police and Crime Commissioner.
Flick Drummond said: “It was great to welcome Richard to Winchester today to speak with residents.

“The message from people across Winchester is clear. They are tired of the Liberal Democrats taking their vote for granted, imposing disastrous measures such as increasing parking charges which will only serve to hurt the local economy.
“Next Thursday, residents can choose a different way forward; Local Conservative champions that will always deliver better public services for lower Council tax. ”
Richard said: “It was fantastic to join Flick and Winchester’s Conservative team on Friday (April 26), supporting them in their work to hold the Lib Dem-controlled council to account on it's failings locally.
“Conservative councils always charge you less Council tax and deliver better public services. It’s that simple.
“On Thursday, May 2, residents across Winchester have the chance to back Conservative local champions on Winchester Council, as well as backing Donna Jones to continue her fantastic work as Hampshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner.”
