A butchers has been celebrating after opening its new premises in Kings Worthy.
Hogget and Boar is owned and run by Sean Thurgood, a former chef who set up the business in 2019. Sean had initially started doing bits and pieces of butchery for friends privately, a trade which grew significantly during the Covid pandemic before expanding and growing rapidly since.
The butchers had previously been located in Broughton, moving to new premises in London Road, Kings Worthy this year. The unit, located next door to Kings Worthy Garage, had previously been occupied by The Little Kitchen Company.

Mr Thurgood said: "Come on down and say hello, we want to see as many new faces as possible and show you what we're doing here and who else we are working with at Hampshire Fare. We are open Tuesday through to Saturday every week and we're looking forward to seeing and serving you some delicious food and drink!"
Hampshire Fare commercial manager, Natasha Dochniak, said: "Hogget and Boar have been a member of Hampshire Fare for more than five years. Hampshire Fare has 350 members working in food, drink and craft and our whole mission is about championing local and encouraging the public to think about supporting local first.
"We know running a business can be tough so to see one of our members opening a new shop and working with other Hampshire Fare members is fantastic. We are thrilled for Sean and are looking forward to supporting him and seeing his journey going forward."
