Residents and businesses in Shawford and Waltham Chase are now connected to a new ultrafast broadband network by Trooli.
Trooli says this could result in internet access up to 13 times faster than the UK average and could dramatically change internet usage, potentially enabling more than 100 devices to be used simultaneously.
Prior to the ultrafast broadband, inhabitants reportedly suffered with sluggish internet, as outdated copper-based infrastructure offered speeds as slow as 10Mbps.
Andy Conibere, CEO of Trooli, said: "We’re so excited to be bringing our ultrafast service to more residents across Hampshire.
"For years, many in the area have had their lives disrupted by frustratingly slow copper-based internet connections. With more people reliant on a dependable, fast internet connection than ever before, this technology simply can’t keep up with the needs of the everyday home.
"Good, reliable internet access is such an essential part of everyday life and now thousands more people can benefit from a superior internet connection they can actually rely on to work, stream, game, and browse without interruption."
Trooli’s full fibre service is now available to residents across the following areas:
- Ashurst
- Brockenhurst
- Fordingbridge
- Hartley Wintney
- Holbury
- Hook
- Lymington
- Lyndhurst
- Marchwood
- Wilford on Sea
- Ringwood
- Shawford
- South Warnborough
- Waltham Chase
