Tributes have been paid to an Eastleigh man who died after he crashed into a tree near Chandler’s Ford.
Officers were called to the scene of the crash just before 10pm on Sunday.
The single-vehicle collision involved the silver Toyota Celica which had crashed into the tree on the A3090 near Chandler’s Ford between the junctions of Hook Road and Hursley Road.
The driver of the car, a 21-year-old man from Eastleigh, died, despite paramedics’ best efforts.
His next of kin have been informed.
Floral tributes were laid on Monday at site of the crash.
Along with the flowers, a box of Hot Wheels cars, a celebration chocolate box, as well cans of fizzy drinks, bananas, apples and oranges and a packet of crisps were laid on the roadside.
Many people took to social media to pay tributes to the 21-year-old driver.
One user, Claire Mason said: “All my kids were friends with this young man. We are all in shock. Rest in peace young man.”
Karen Ascombe said: "Rest in peace, way too young.”
Meanwhile, Caz Moor said: “Thinking of his family and friends.”
Police have also issued an appeal for anyone with information to get in touch to help their enquiries.
A police spokesperson said: “Just before 10pm on Sunday 14 April, police were called to a single vehicle collision on the A3090, between junctions with Hook Road and Hursley Road.
"A silver Toyota Celica left the road and collided with a tree.
"The driver of the Toyota, a 21-year-old man from Eastleigh, sadly died in the collision. His next of kin have been informed.
"We are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a fatal road traffic collision in Chandler's Ford.
