THE Hospital of St Cross is launching its Perfect Pitch lunchtime concert series after its success last year.
The brothers of St Cross Hospital organise and host the series which take place in the chapel.
The cream of Hampshire’s young music talent will be performing with Winchester schools well represented and the newly appointed leader of the National Youth Orchestra Rose Gosney will perform in early May.
Outstanding students from The Royal Academy of Music and The Royal College of Music will also feature.
The principal aim of the concerts is to provide young music students, with encouragement and a performing opportunity in the surroundings of the Chapel of St Cross.

A new website has now been launched, containing a full listing of the Thursday concerts and also details of those performing.
The new series starts on April 18 and will continue every Thursday until October 31.
It will offer variety and the music performed will be accessible and cater for all tastes. Concerts will include instrumentalists, singers, dancers and actors. They will be free to attend, with a retiring collection to be donated to the Hospital.
They will fund projects for the chapel, including: improved wheelchair access to the building through the Ambulatory, upgrading LED lighting and new draught proof curtains to the West Door.
The concert on April 18 will be given by Katya Grabova, pianist from The Royal Academy of Music, who will play works by Debussy, Schubert and Stravinsky. Katya’s concert last year received rave reviews and is not be missed.
Refreshments will be available before and after all concerts in The Hundred Men’s Hall.
