Drivers in and around Winchester will have 12 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with just two of the closures expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A303, from 8pm March 12 to 6am March 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 both directions Micheldever, slip road, services and lane closures for inspection work.

• M3, from 9am March 18 to 4pm March 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound, Winchester Services, hard shoulder closure for fencing work.

• A303, from 8pm March 11 to 6am April 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 both directions Hundred Acre to Bullington and A34 northbound, Bullington, carriageway and lane closures for resurfacing work.

And a further nine closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A303, from 8pm March 27 to 6am March 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, Micheldever, slip road and lane closures for signage work.

• A34, from 8pm April 2 to 6am April 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Bullington to Whitchurch, Lane closures for barrier work.

• A34, from 8pm April 2 to 6am April 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Kingsworthy to Three Maids Hill, Lane closure for maintenance works.

• A34, from 8pm April 3 to 6am April 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Three Maids Hill to Bullington, Lane closures for maintenance works.

• A34, from 8pm April 4 to 6am April 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Three Maids Hill to Bullington, Lane closure for maintenance works.

• A34, from 8pm April 5 to 6am April 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Bullington to Whitchurch, Lane closure for maintenance works.

• A303, from 8pm April 8 to 6am July 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 both directions M3, junction 9 to Three Maids Hill, carriageway closures for resurfacing work.

• M3, from 8pm April 8 to 6am April 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 8 to junction 9, Lane closures for maintenance work.

• A303, from 8pm April 8 to 6am April 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Bullington to M3, junction 9 and A303 both directions Bullington to Micheldever, mobile lane closures for litter clearance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
