A COSMETICS chain is moving into Winchester High Street.
Rituals Cosmetics is taking over the shop between O2 and Café Nero, which was previously occupied by jewellery chain Pandora.
Boards have been erected in the windows, announcing the arrival of the cosmetic brand. The Rituals website is also advertising positions at the shop in Winchester.
A planning application has also been submitted on behalf of the business to Winchester City Council.

The application is for an internal fitout of the existing retail unit, including new shopfront signage and first floor alterations to access a new stockroom area.
The planning statement says: “The proposals comprises of an internal shopfit of an existing shop at 107a High Street (formerly Pandora), including the following:
“Replacement of existing damaged frameless glass entrance door to match existing
with new brass door handles.
“Making good of existing timber shopfront prior to redecoration, colour white (RAL 9010).
“Increasing first floor demise by forming a new opening into adjacent tenancy D area.
“New shopfront signage to comprise non-illuminated brass box letters pinned on the existing fascia and new projecting blade sign.
“The proposed works will have no impact on the building’s significance or its heritage assets and the signage proposals are in keeping with the nature of the building and surrounding area.”

Built in the 18th century, the building that Rituals is going into is a Grade II listed building.
The planning application can be viewed by visiting the Winchester City Council planning portal and searching using reference 24/00471/FUL and reference 24/00473/LIS.
