A LARGE crowd joined the Winchester Palm Sunday procession today (Sunday, March 24).
The procession began at the sun-drenched Winchester Castle, outside the Great Hall.
Participants then walked down the High Street before ending at the Cathedral.
Palm Sunday marks the beginning of the Holy Week, and commemorates Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, who was welcomed by the people waving palm branches.
