Two County Council by-elections will be held in May after councillors have resigned, it has been confirmed.
Hampshire County Council have announced that by-elections will be held on Thursday 2 May 2024 in Meon Valley and Fareham Sarisbury.
It comes after the resignations of Councillor Seán Woodward and Councillor Hugh Lumby.

The by-elections will be held on the same day as the local and Police and Crime Commissioner elections.
On behalf of Carolyn Williamson, the County Council Chief Executive and Returning Officer, Winchester City Council will run the by-election in the division of Meon Valley and Fareham Borough Council will run the by-election in the division of Fareham Sarisbury.
The names of the candidates nominated to stand for election will be published on 8 April 2024.
Residents who have not registered to vote will need to do so by Tuesday 16 April. You can register online, at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
New applications for a postal vote must be made by 5pm on Wednesday 17 April 2024.
Applications to vote by proxy must be made by 5pm on Wednesday 24 April 2024.
Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm on 2 May 2024 and photo ID will be required.
