SOUTH Winchester Golf Club has raised more than £30,000 for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
The club presented a cheque for £30,252.84 to the charity at an event on Sunday, March 17.
Outgoing club captain, Jo Lockett, supported by ladies captain Vicki Dunlop and seniors captain John Schonenberger, thanked the committee and all the club members for their hard work and support in raising the amount.
She said: “The members of South Winchester Golf Club have been incredible in their support of the Club’s chosen charity during our year of office, and we are thrilled with the result.”

The club raised the amount through a range of fundraising endeavours, including running the Paris Marathon, a charity dinner auction, raffles and quiz nights.
Keith Wilson, director of income and engagement at HIOWAA expressed his gratitude, adding: “We are enormously grateful to everyone at South Winchester Golf Club for their outstanding support throughout a thoroughly enjoyable year partnering with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
“They have raised a phenomenal amount of money to fund our service. Indeed, their fundraising total could fund as many as 10 lifesaving missions.
“The whole team here are in awe of what they have achieved and hope to work together in the future."
