Top names in the international finance world will be in Winchester for a conference.
The Fifth European Conference on Banking and the Economy, ECOBATE 2024, takes place on March 27 at the University of Winchester.
The session is hoped to draw eminent researchers, policy-makers, and industry leaders globally for discussions surrounding banking and financial topics.
This year’s theme zeroes in on the Opportunities and Challenges of New or Centralised Digital Finance.
Keynote speakers include Professor Richard Werner of the University of Winchester, Professor Louis-Phillippe Rochon, a renowned economist from Laurentian University in Canada, and Professor Charles Goodhart of the London School of Economics, expert in monetary economics and central banking.
ECOBATE 2024 is organised in collaboration with the Department of Economics, Accounting and Finance, University of Winchester Business School, and Association for Research on Banking and the Economy (ARBE).
Prof. Werner heads the organising committee, joined by Dr Plamen Ivanov from Sofia University and Winchester's Dr Richard Gunton and Dr Manuela Pilato providing additional support.
The West Downs Centre hosts the event.
