Talent Locker, a Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire recruitment company, has been recognised in the prestigious UK’s Best Workplaces 2024 by Great Place to Work, ranking at number 66.
Talent Locker, now approaching nine years of operation, was established by Martyn Hurricks and Richard Barker, two IT specialists aiming to innovate recruitment processes.
The company has evolved from a start-up to a successful multi-million-pound SME, attributing its accomplishments to prioritising staff experience parallel to customer service.
The Hampshire firm attributes its triumph to the effort and dedication of their personnel who have assisted numerous UK-wide clients in their IT Transformation & Workplace Change recruitment requirements.
Mr Barker said: "We have fostered an innovative, collaborative, and fun organisational culture. Hard work is necessary for any successful company, but it must be rewarded. We always look for new ways to show our appreciation to our team, and our employee-wide company holiday incentive is testament to that.
"And these activities haven’t just been for the top-performers – they’re for all support staff. Individual successes should be celebrated and taken as learning opportunities to achieve healthy growth."
To foster a positive work environment, the founding directors, Mr Hurricks and Mr Barker, say they provide their staff with regular perks like in-office monthly sports massages, fortnightly yoga sessions, and weekly games known as ‘The Talent Locker Olympics’. The team has also enjoyed company holidays in Marbella and Lisbon to mark business growth milestones.
Mr Hurricks said: "We have a wonderful team, and they deserve a wonderful working environment, so they can perform to the best of their ability. We very much take the view that recruitment is not all about sales – it’s about ensuring the very best outcomes for clients and candidates. Our team are outstanding at this; building lasting relationships in line with our values."
The firm is looking to extend its recruitment team in Chandlers Ford and is welcoming applications from individuals who match their high-performance standards.
