The improvement works are expected to take three days, with the road hopefully re-opening on Friday, March 22. Stagecoach’s Spring route will be diverted.
The bus company’s website reads: “The Spring will run normal route to the St Mary's church stop at Kings Worthy and will then run past the Cart and Horses and along Lovedon Lane to Vian Place, Pound Road and Forbes Road.
"They will then turn and return to St Mary's Church the same way but will additionally serve Bedfield Lane, Springvale Road, Nations Hill and Church Lane before returning to the city on normal route.”
