A KINGS Worthy man must observe a curfew after he pleaded guilty to a hit-and-run.
Richard Powell, 51, of Firs Crescent, admitted failing to stop after a road accident in Lovedon Lane, Kings Worthy, on Friday, November 17.
Basingstoke Magistrates Court heard that a pedestrian crossing the road sustained bruising as a result of being knocked to the ground by Powell’s car, a Mercedez Benz C250.
Appearing at the magistrates’ court on Tuesday, March 12, Powell was ordered to follow a curfew for eight weeks stopping him from leaving his home address from 7pm to 7am every night.
Nine penalty points have been added to his license. Powell must also pay a victim’s surcharge of £114 and costs of £85. The total £199 must be paid by April 9.
