A DRIVER from Kings Worthy has been banned from the road for two years after he pleaded guilty to drink driving.
Trevor Hood, of Boyne Mead Road, was stopped in a Landrover on Friday, January 19 at the junction of Worthy Park Lane and the B3047, a court heard.
Hood, 55, had 91 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than double the prescribed limit of 35 microgrammes.
He pleaded guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 7.
Hood was banned from the road for 24 months, which can be reduced by 24 weeks if he completes a course by April 18, 2025.
He was fined £500, and must also pay a victim surcharge of £200 and costs of £85. The total of £785 must be paid by April 4 next year.
