Officers on patrol in Winchester city centre have arrested a man in connection with the supply of Class A drugs.
They were on patrol on Thursday afternoon, March 7, when they noticed suspicious activity near the entrance to Winnall Moors in Durngate.
After a brief chase a man was detained and wraps of suspected Class A drugs and cash were seized.
A 21-year-old man from Winchester was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A.
He remains in police custody while officers carry out further enquiries.
In a statement, police said: "We will continue our efforts to target those involved in the supply of drugs. Our ask of communities is to continue to let us know if you have any information about drugs supply."
