A WINCHESTER pie shop is preparing to celebrate its favourite week of the year – National Pie Week.
From Monday, March 4 to Sunday, March 10 Piecaramba in Parchment Street is hoping to reel in the customers with a host of special events and flavours.
The ‘What’s Your Flavour’ competition has returned with one winner’s dream pie fillings being added to the menu. The finalists have been narrowed down to ‘Celine Dijon’, ‘Fakon It Till You Bakon It’ and ‘Pierates of the Carribean’. Votes are still open with the most popular flavour being announced early next week.

Co-founder Rob Litchfield said: “The British meal of pie gets its highlight for this one week of the year. We’ve always enjoyed National Pie Week, it’s like Christmas for pie. It’s a chance for us to promote ourselves as an independent pie restaurant that’s been open for seven years now.
“It’s also the British Pie Awards next week which we are entering. We’ve got lots of other nice fun things and desserts and drinks too. It’s a great opportunity to see people who might have never come in before but have made the effort for pie week.”
Piecaramba is open in Jewry Street in Winchester for eat-in, take away or delivery from midday and in Carlton Place in Southampton.
