An unusual hen or stag party can enjoy a truly unique experience in the outdoors, indulging in a fabulous day of fly fishing on some of the country's most famous chalk streams, luxuriating in delicious food and drink with views across the river.
Groups of all kinds can enjoy days on the river, too - for special occasions or large family get-togethers, and so on.
These unique packages are organised by Fishing Breaks, based on the famous River Test in Hampshire, where fly fishing was ‘born' and is now known the whole world over for trout fly fishing.
A typical day kicks off with hearty bacon rolls and is hosted by Fishing Breaks' founder and author, Simon Cooper, whose knowledge of fly fishing and chalk streams is second to none.

Simon said: "A day on the river is a very special experience that friends and family can enjoy together in advance of the big day. It offers a very different, alternative to a trip abroad and it's both intimate and very relaxing."
Fishing Breaks has a team of friendly, expert guides on hand to look after all guests, whether they be novices or more experienced anglers.
All new top-of-the-line Orvis rods, reels, lines, nets, and flies are provided free of charge along with fishing waistcoats, wellington boots, hats, and fishing glasses.
A delicious lunchtime feast is served on the riverbank with menu choices including locally sourced food and drink such as smoked trout, watercress soup, water buffalo mozzarella, River Test Gin or Black Chalk sparkling wines. Afternoon tea can also be served.
Guides can package up any fish caught to be taken home or advise on quality local accommodation.
The fishing season runs from May to September and the mayfly hatch is a very popular time from May to mid-June, when mayflies create a spectacular sight as they hatch in their millions.
At Nether Wallop Mill, headquarters of Fishing Breaks, the season runs from April to October.
Facilities there include a private trout lake with a lakeside thatched fishing lodge, and a fully catered package with instructors.
