Entries are now open for Against Breast Cancer fundraiser walk, Breast Walk Ever.
The event, based in Hampshire, is returning on May 12, 2024, supporting research into secondary spread breast cancer at the University of Southampton.
Full or half marathon options as well as a 10K are available, all centered around Winchester and following waymarked trails such as the Clarendon, Itchen, and Pilgrims Way.
The fundraiser also journeys on the ancient Monarch’s Way, replicating King Charles II's route after his 1651 defeat to Cromwell.
Each year in the UK, over 370 men and 55,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer, making it the most prevalent cancer.
Against Breast Cancer focuses on the study of the illness's secondary spread, the leading cause of breast cancer-related deaths.
Event manager Richard Martin said: "We are delighted to be back in Hampshire close to where a significant proportion of our research takes place in Southampton.
"We received lots of lovely feedback last year from supporters who relished the chance to talk to a number of our researchers who were volunteering at the various support stops along the course."
Starting at £13, entry fees come with regular support stops, a complimentary massage at the finish, and an incentive medal.
