A CHEQUE of £3,000 has been presented to the Hampshire Record Office by The Symondians' Association.
As part of the disbursement of its funds following the decision to disband, the alumni of Peter Symonds Grammar School and Peter Symonds College to 2023, donated the funds in recognition of the support given in the past and the acceptance of custody of its archive.

On February 14, Steve Hankin (Symondians' president and chairman) and Tony Paice (Symondians' archivist) met county archivist Adrienne Allen at the Hampshire Record Office to hand over the large facsimile of the cheque provided by Lloyds Bank.
The size and coverage of the archive now residing with the HRO will ensure that the group's history is preserved as a valuable historical resource for researchers and past and present students of Peter Symonds College.
