CRIME reported in Winchester has decreased yet again, but violent and sexual crimes have increased, according to the latest police data.
In December 2023, the most recent month available, 562 crimes were reported across the district, which is down from 633 crimes the previous month, according to data.police.uk.
The most common category was violence and sexual offences, with 222 offences, which is up from 213 reports in November.
Public order offences were the second-most common category, with 59 reports during the month, followed by 49 anti-social behaviour offences.
