ROMSEY Rugby Club is thrilled with the success of its sell-out Burns Night supper.
The event is a familiar favourite in the club calendar and a key fundraising night, celebrating the life and works of the renowned Scottish poet, Robert Burns.
This year’s event on Thursday, January 25 was sponsored by Anchor Maintenance and Parker Bullen with a four-course Scottish feast prepared by TWJ Catering.
Guests revelled in traditional Ceilidh dancing, guided by the lively tunes of the Ceilidh Tree band. A selection of whiskies and wines adding to the merriment.

Club chairman and proud Scot, John Gray, said: “‘Some hae meat a canny eat ’ as Robbie Burns Selkirk grace points out. The Romsey Rugby Club burns supper delivered plenty to eat and enjoy. Great food, a great ceilidh and great company with everyone who attended a thoroughly wonderful evening.
"A few sore heads were to be found the following day, I’m sure. Thanks to all who organised and our sponsors and guests.”

Karen Clarkson, of Parker Bullen, said: “As a growing firm in Romsey, we are always looking for new ways to engage with the local community and support events that bring together the organisations, individuals and their families that make up our vibrant and proactive town.
"We were delighted once again to sponsor the Romsey Rugby Club Burns Night, to join in the festivities and raise money for charity while having fun. We are very much looking forward to 2025.”
The club has announced that the event will be back at the clubhouse in Ganger Farm on Friday, January 24. Organisers are encouraging guests to save the date with tickets being launched on the club’s Eventbrite page soon.
