A ROAD in a village near Romsey should be reopening after five days of disruption once Southern Water finishes reinstating the water main.
The utility company repaired a water leak in Graemer Lane over the weekend but Salisbury Road, Sherfield English, has remained closed.
A Southern Water spokesperson said: “Our teams have been on site to repair a leak on a water main in Graemer Lane. Traffic management was required for the work to be carried out safely. The repair was completed over the weekend and the water main is being reinstated today, Tuesday, February 13. Traffic management is scheduled to finish by Wednesday evening.”
The blocked road has been disrupting Sherfield English residents and regular A27 users. The road is closed between Steplake Lane by Sherfield Sports Field and Melchet Park.
