VANDALS ruined a village’s playing fields with their car tracks in the middle of the night.
A vehicle was spotted driving across the football pitches at Ropley Recreation Ground in Vicarage Lane at 2.48am on Monday, February 12.
The driver left tracks, damaging the playing surface. It looks as if the cricket square was not damaged but the football pitches were affected.

A spokeswoman for Hampshire Police said: “Police have received a report in relation to anti-social behaviour at Ropley recreation ground.
“The report was made at 2.48am this morning when a vehicle was seen to be being driven on the football pitches.
“Enquiries ongoing. No arrests.”
Becky French, clerk of Ropley Parish Council, said: "We are aware (it’s the second time this has happened). We have instructed a company to repair the damage and are looking at a rota system to lock/unlock the gate to the recreation ground. This should prevent any future damage."
