FIREFIGHTERS have attended a crash on Spitfire Link this morning (February 8).
Winchester firefighters were called to the scene after a car left the carriageway and crashed into the verge, near Winnall roundabout.
There was no one trapped inside the vehicle, with firefighters ensuring that the road was safe before returning to the station.
A Hampshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “Winchester firefighters were called to Spitfire Link at 9.21am this morning after a car left the road and crashed into a bush.

“Fortunately, nobody was trapped inside the vehicle, with HIWFRS in attendance to make the scene safe.
“A further crew en route from Eastleigh was stood down prior to arrival as they were no longer required.
“Firefighters returned to the station following the stop message at 9.29am.”
Hampshire County Council Traffic and Travel, which provides updates on traffic across the county, did not report any delays caused by the incident.
