A BUSINESS selling trout caught from the Rivers Test and Itchen is celebrating 10 years since it began.
ChalkStream was set up in Awbridge in 2014. Founder Hugo Hardman believed trout was under appreciated and wanted to highlight the unique quality of the chalk stream fish.
Staff members Victoria Hardman and Hollie Johnson were at the 16th Local Trade Show at the Hilton at the Utilita Bowl (previously Ageas Bowl), organised by Business South, to promote their products to fellow businesses and buyers.

Victoria, who’s been involved with the company in Old Salisbury Lane since its inception, said: “We work with farms on the River Test. We sell rainbow trout to food services all over the UK.
“We’ve got plans to celebrate. We’re very proud to reach 10 years and look back on how far we have come. We’re seeing trout back on the menu again.
“We’ve also been a member of Hampshire Fare for 10 years which has provided some key networking opportunities. There’s a growing interest in locally sourced food and sustainability too.
Hollie, who’s been with the ChalkStream team for six years, said: “I love working there. It is a great product, with a great team and it is exciting.”
