A HAMPSHIRE events company has committed to donating to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) for the third successive year.
In that time, Challenging Events has raised £8,766.84 through merchandise sales and sponsorships, which is enough to fund three emergency calls.
The events company has now pledged to continue supporting the cause throughout 2024, in the hope that it can surpass its target of £15,000.
Events include the Winchester 10K (February 18), cross country cycling challenges as well as the New Forest Triathlon (September 1) and duathlons right across the Hampshire region.

Keith Wilson, HIOWAA's director of income and engagement, said: “Whether you’re a couch to 5k’er or an endurance enthusiast, there are a variety of ways you can change and save lives this year. Support from participants, their friends and families, ensures we can be there for our patients on what is often the worst day of their life. A huge thank you to Challenging Events for their dedication over the years.”
Jo Shaw, Challenging Events senior event manager, said: “Challenging Events is delighted to once again be supporting HIOWAA as our charity partner for 2024. We are so grateful to all of our participants that help in supporting this charity with donations and hope we can make 2024 our best year yet.”
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance is a life-saving charity that brings doctors, pilots and paramedics directly to the scene of seriously ill and injured patients. As a charity, it relies entirely on donations from the public to help keep them responding to thousands of call-outs every year.
