SOUTH Wonston Parish Council is recruiting a new parish councillor. Anyone wishing to apply must do so by contacting the parish clerk and completing an application form by Sunday, February 11.

SOUTH Wonston Sustainability is urging the parish to join the ‘renewable energy conversation’ by completing a questionnaire by 5pm on Sunday, February 25.
The findings of the survey and a workshop, which was held in October, will be included in a final report for residents, South Wonston Parish Council and Winchester City Council, which both funded this project.
This will inform the city council and any potential renewable energy providers of the likely support from residents for a project in the future. For more information contact swsenergygroup@gmail.com.
South Wonston Sustainability invited locals to its climate hub on Sunday, January 28 to help share what the group does.
SOUTH Wonston’s warm hub café continues every Monday from 12.30 to 2.30pm at the Sports and Recreation Pavilion in Lower Road. Anyone can go along for some free tea, coffee, biscuits and soup and to meet new people.
THE Northbrook Arms, in East Stratton, has appointed a new management team following the completion of a three-year renovation project. Colin Savory is the new head chef and Alex Abrey has been made general manager.
THE next Wonston Community Café will be in aid of Read Easy, a charity teaching adults to read, on Wednesday, February 21.
The volunteer-led café is held at Victoria Hall in Sutton Scotney on the third Wednesday of every month from 9.30am to midday. Next month’s café will be raising money for The Boaz Project.

THE Dever Singers will be celebrating its 40th anniversary with a Passion Sunday service at St Mary the Virgin Church, in Micheldever, on March 17 at 6pm. The group will be having a bigger celebratory concert in the summer.
MICHELDEVER Church of England Primary School is looking for new governors to join the Federation Governing Body. The team of nine governors led by chair Claire Bentham works with the headteachers and schools to make strategies and hold the schools to account.
The Dever Valley Federation Governing Body is looking for people who are able to dedicate around two hours of their week.
