A ROMSEY motorist has been banned from the road for drink driving.
Eliot Carroll, of The Hundred, was driving on Christchurch Road in Bournemouth on Thursday, December 14 when he was stopped by officers.
He returned an alcohol reading of 77 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, double the legal limit.
Appearing at Poole Magistrates Court on Friday, January 26, the 34-year-old pleaded guilty to a charge of driving with excess alcohol.
Carroll has been banned from the road for 18 months, which can be reduced by 18 weeks if he completes a course.
He has also been fined £120 and must also pay £85 costs and a £48 victims’ surcharge. The total amount of £253 must be paid by February 23.
