THE museums, galleries and arts centres of Hampshire Cultural Trust will be putting on a variety of events this half term.

From Easter themed trails around the streets of Milestones Museum to gaming in the Dark Ages, along with pottery in Alton, dancing in Fareham and great amount of arts and crafts at Aldershot and New Milton. 

In Winchester, head to 878 AD in the Brooks Centre for a series of Anglo-Saxon games and riddles. Learn the rules and battle your friends and family or even face off with the resident Saxons. 

For the fans of Assassin’s Creed there is a chance to go behind-the-scenes and play their Assassin’s Creed-style board games. 

Gaming in the Dark Age at 878 AD will last from March 29 to April 14, 10am-4pm, inside The Brooks Shopping Centre.

Hampshire Chronicle: Hampshire Cultural Trust Easter

At The Arc in Jewry Street, Winchester, there will be the opportunity to work with a tutor to create a felt flower bookmark or an eco-bubble wand. The arts and crafts workshop will run from April 2 to April 12. However, pre booking is required. 

For one day only, there will be a special event to listen to stories and Saxons at Winchester City Museum on April 9 at 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm. Join professional storyteller Dawn Nelson for tales of dragons, fairies and feasting. 

Storytelling session will last for approximately twenty minutes and are suitable for families with primary aged children. 

On the Easter weekend, the Winchester City Museum, will also be hosting a day of Easter celebration, with an Easter hunt trail, Easter egg decorating and the chance to make a personalised Easter basket.

There will also be a plant pot-making course, in preparation to planting seeds for the spring season. 
The crafts sessions will continue from March 30 until April 14 during usual museum opening hours.
