A ROMSEY man has been disqualified from driving for being almost double the drink drive limit.
Michael Taylor, of The Cloisters, was stopped on Tuesday, November 7 on Gardeners Lane, East Wellow, a court heard.
Taylor, 56, had 148 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80.
He pleaded guilty at Southampton Magistrates Court on Thursday, January 18.
The Romsey man was disqualified from driving for 20 months, which can be reduced by 20 weeks if a course is completed by February 28 next year.
He must pay a fine of £750, a victim surcharge of £300 and costs of £85. This has to be paid by February 25.
